Chacarera

CHACARERA is an Argentine folk dance, exciting and beautiful, fun to dance and even contagious in some way thanks to its energy and unique music. Chacarera is very popular in Argentine and Europe when people dance it during some dance and special events. Partners form 2 rows standing opposite each other and looking into the eye of the partner (usually there is a line of men and a line of women). The eye connection is supposed to be kept through the dance (no winking!!!… just kidding :).
It is a flirtatious dance, time to have fun and show off your beauty and charisma!

Please, check the links below to get a better feeling of Chacarera:

Chacarera is usually danced by an even number of people (2+):
it can be the Bride and Groom or a group of enthusiastic friends and family members.

NB: No costumes are necessary for the dance although it does look nicer when girls/ women are wearing flowing skirts/dresses (so that the lady could play with her skirt while dancing zarandeo).
