ARGENTINE TANGO Fundamentals - Level 1A
WHEN:
Wednesdays from 7 to 8.30pm
July 18, 24 (drop-ins) - we will continued working on the moves learnt during the Introduction to Tango Bootcamp.
NEW series July 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 - Absolute Beginners are welcome as well as more experienced dancers.

Tango vocabulary and basics requires repetition as in any dance, so we welcome new people during the 1st month, preferably from July 2nd for a 5-week series. If there are a few people interested in another BOOTCAMP in June, it can be arranged as well - message to Tatiana Vancouver or MagicTango School.

Learn the fundamentals of the beautiful Argentine Tango.
Practical crash course with a social-dancing-oriented communicative approach for beginners with the goal to get them dancing basic tango within 1.5 - 2 months.
- Argentine tango (specifics including etiquette)
- Silky Tango Embrace
- Smooth Walking
- Connection with the Partner
- Musicality & Rhythm
(* we will dance mostly to the traditional music which is more often played in the milongas around the world, however will also practice to some alternative compositions (non-tango music) / electrotango / neotango *)
- Linear & Circular movements
- Rock steps (= check step = cunita)
- Basic Turns
- Salida with a cross with a few variations for exits
- Ocho Cortado
- Back and front ochos ...

No Partner is not required however we recommend bringing friends if you can :).

Dancers of ANY LEVEL and tango experience are welcome to refresh the basics and learn new approaches to dancing. Recommended for Beg - Int dancers.
