Magic Tango provides Argentine tango instruction by Tatiana Balashova, as well as a monthly event Milonga Sentimental on the 1st Saturday of the month and occasional special events. Tatiana is teaching either on her own or with an invited guest instructor or assistant. Learn beautiful Argentine tango and join our friendly tango community to explore dancing and find new friends!
ARGENTINE TANGO is a beautiful partnered social dance and musical genre originated in the end of the 19th century in the suburbs of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is in fact very different from the ballroom tango in its posture, embrace, vocabulary and intention of dancing – Argentine tango is an improvisational dance based on particular movements and step combinations which each dancer is interpreting in his/ her own way. It is not common to compete in Argentine Tango as it is first of all a social dance which allows to combine leisure dancing, listening to beautiful rich tango music with socializing and keeping your body fit.
