MAGIC TANGO *** SACADAS LAB *** AUGUST 11-12th, 2016 (Thu-Fri) @ One Thousand Rivers studio studio info >> Instructors: Dale & Tatiana FB Event >> We will explore the concept & technique of SACADAS in Argentine tango, taking a look at them from various angles, practice various sacadas separately and in beautiful combinations applicable to everyday social dancing. PART 1: AUGUST 11th - 6-8PM * Making Sacadas Sociable: Understanding, constructing and tastefully employing functional sacadas on the social dance floor. * (Int & up - experience with sacadas is welcome, yet in the first 30-40min we will explain and break down the basic concepts & technique for sacadas and try various sacadas) PART 2: AUGUST 12th - 8-10PM + moderated practica 10-11pm * Sacada As Instrument: using the sacada as a tool to combine with other techniques and control their energy. * (Int-Adv, prior experience with sacadas and other tango movements is required, if you are new to sacadas, you have to take PART 1) ....................................................................................................... Participation is limited to 8 couples. Registration is required (we want to balance L&F in the group). If you don't have a partner it is ok, just message to register. We will encourage rotating the partners however you can stay with your partner if you prefer that. TICKETS: 2 PARTS: $50 - 1 person / $90 for 2 (with a partner) PART 1: $30 - 1 person / $50 for 2 (with a partner) PART 2: (includes the moderated 1h practica) $35 - 1 person / $60 for 2 (with a partner) * Students with valid ID & MagicTango students (who took a few other classes) get $10 off 1-day workshops and $15 off 2 days.
